LCC Youth Ministry Serves Homeless In Boston
Students in grades 7-10 serve a meal at the Paulist Center's "Wednesday Night Supper Club."

A release from our friends at the Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative:
On Wednesday, July 11, teens and chaperones from the Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative traveled into Boston to serve a meal at what is called the Paulist Center's "Wednesday Night Supper Club" for the homeless in the Boston Common area.
The Supper Club was founded 52 years ago, is fully volunteer-run, and serves between 160-200 hot meals to guests every Wednesday night. Boston's annual Walk for Hunger, now under the aegis of Project Bread, was initially established to fund the Supper Club.

Pam Guerrieo, Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative’s Faith Formation Coordinator for Grades 7-10, organized this youth ministry service outreach. According to Pam, “It’s important we show our young people how they can make practical connections while living their Catholic faith. This is an example of how they can practice the Corporal Work of Mercy to ‘feed the hungry’.” A second service date is scheduled for August 15.
