Sarah Parsons looking for your support as she runs Falmouth Aug. 19.

A release from the Joe Andruzzi Foundation about a Lynnfield runner and neighbor:
NORTH ATTLEBORO – Lynnfield's Sarah Parsons will hit the road Sunday, Aug. 19, to run the Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foubndation (JAF), an organization committed to providing financial assistance to New England cancer patients and their family members when it is needed most.
More than 60 “Team JAF” runners will take strides against cancer and represent the Foundation in the exciting, scenic 7-mile race through the heart of Cape Cod. Last year’s team raised more than $100,000, and the 2018 team hopes to continue to raise the bar.

Parsons first learned about JAF when she saw them on the list of charities for the Boston Marathon. At that time, her father was battling cancer and Parsons and her family learned firsthand just how difficult it could be to pay for medical and household bills while focusing on getting through treatments. During that time, her and her family truly worked on remaining upbeat. This year, she is thrilled to run with the team because of that motto. She also appreciates that JAF is so personal and takes the time to get to know each and every runner.
“We are very excited to have Sarah as a Foundation ambassador this summer and are thankful for all she is doing to further our mission,” said Jen Andruzzi, Executive Director of JAF. “Sarah’s efforts are directly benefitting cancer patients and families in need throughout New England. We are grateful for the efforts our runners are making to prepare for this race and we are excited to come together as a team this August!”
