Mom and Daughter Get Lost Hiking, and a 15-Year-Old Goes for a Drive

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, June 14 and Sunday, June 16.

On Friday, June 14 at 5:35 a.m. an accident with no injury was reported at Walnut Street and Salem Street.
At 9:02 a.m. a GPS was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Salem Street.
At 10:02 a.m. some change was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Nottingham Road.
At 11:13 a.m. the fire department responded to a home on Pine Hill Road for a reported odor of gas.
At 3:03 p.m. some youths were reportedly causing a disturbance at the library.
At 6:54 p.m. police took a larceny report from Elmwood Road.
At 9:42 p.m. police took a noise complaint about youths playing basketball at Our Lady of the Assumption School.
At 10:08 p.m. police gave a verbal warning to the previously mentioned youths after they resumed playing basketball at OLA.
At 11:49 p.m. a young man was reported to be sleeping in his car on Smith Farm Trail. He turned out to be feeling sick and waiting for a family member.

On Saturday, June 15 at 1:35 a.m. an accident was reported near Pyburn Road.
At 9:15 a.m. a caller requested a well-being check for two young children in a parked car in Post Office Square. Their mother was on hand and all was fine.
At 10:41 a.m. a domestic dispute was reported on Huntingdon Road.
At 12:30 p.m. an accident was reported on Condon Circle.
At 2:50 p.m. police issued a summons on Salem Street to a 15 year old Lynn resident for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop or yield.
At 4:27 p.m. an accident was reported on Broadway.
At 5:20 p.m. a caller reported a youth on the town common appeared to be trying to hitchhike. Police spoke with his parents, who happened to be nearby in the Old Meeting House.
At 7:03 p.m. a woman reported that she and her daughter were lost in the Bow Ridge/Lynn Woods near Route 1 North. An officer located them near the power lines, and state police transported them to their vehicle.
At 9:20 p.m. a caller complained about noise from some youths playing basketball at Our Lady of the Assumption School.
At 9:21 p.m. a caller reported four youths at a vacant house on Bishop's Lane. Police found all to be secure.
At 10:14 p.m. a caller complained about noise from youths playing basketball at Our Lady of the Assumption School.

On Sunday, June 16 at 8:31 p.m. a suspicious auto was reported on Thistle Lane. It was gone on arrival.
At 11:01 p.m. an officer issued a speeding warning near Beaver Ave.
