Mother's Day celebrated with May Processions

LYNNFIELD - Since May is the month for mothers as well as the "month of Mary" for Catholics, St. Maria Goretti Parish and Our Lady of the Assumption Parish each celebrated Mother's Day with May Processions and the crowning of the statues of Mary.

Children who recently received their First Holy Communion were invited to return in their white outfits, and all other children were invited to join in the procession, placing flowers by the statue.
