OLA School Students Present Living Stations Of The Cross

8th-graders participate in the live re-telling of Jesus Christ's last day on earth as a man.

A release from the Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative:

LYNNFIELD, Ma – Our Lady of the Assumption School’s 8th-graders presented the Living Stations of the Cross at OLA Church on April 10.

It's a tradition even the youngest students at OLA School look forward to: their 8th-grade participation in the live re-telling of Jesus Christ’s last day on earth as a man. In so many ways, it’s a culmination of their tenure at the Catholic school, a capstone of their understanding and appreciation of the Passion of Christ.

There is no more moving way to bring the story of the humanity and divinity of Jesus to life than by seeing it through the eyes of children. And there is no more poignant way to relate to the ache of the world than to view it from the perspective of Mary, a mother watching her son suffer. Unlike the traditional Stations, however, this version continues with the joyful message of Easter, perfectly reflected in the expectant faces of young people eager to share this message with the world.
