One Dead in Crash on Rte. 1 North in Saugus

State Police are investigating a fatal Rte. 1 crash that took place early Wednesday morning in Saugus. The name of the victim has not been released at this time.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. Massachusetts State Police responded to reports of a single-car crash, a rollover, on Route 1 North in Saugus. An occupant of the vehicle suffered fatal injuries.

The facts and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by Troop A of the Massachusetts State Police along with the State Police Collision Reconstruction and Analysis Section and Crime Scene Services Section, as well as State Police detectives.
