Pastoral Care and Ministry to the Sick Focus Of Info Session

Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative will host training and info session on Pastoral Care and Ministry to the Sick and Homebound on March 24.

The Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative will host a training and information session on Pastoral Care and Ministry to the Sick and Homebound on Saturday, March 24, from 10-11:30 am in Our Lady of the Assumption's Church Hall (758 Salem Street, Lynnfield). Deacon Jim Greer, the Director of Healthcare Ministry for the Archdiocese of Boston, will be presenting.

The parishes of St. Maria Goretti and Our Lady of the Assumption recognize that pastoral care goes beyond the walls of the churches. Providing outreach to the sick, aged, and dying have always been an integral component to the Church's ministry, but contemporary life often means that families and individuals are separated from their traditional support systems. That makes the faith community that much more important for the hands-on well-being of its congregants.

If interested in attending the training and information session, please contact Kate McGrath, Pastoral Assistant, at kmcgrath@ola-smg.org or 781-598-4313 x224.
