The Lynnfield High baseball team picked up its sixth straight win on Thursday with a 8-4 victory over visiting Rockport.

The Lynnfield High baseball team continued its hot streak on Thursday, beating visiting Rockport 8-4 for the Pioneers' sixth straight win. 

Lynnfield now sits at 9-3 and needs just one more win to qualify for the MIAA tournament. 

Ricky Beradino powered the offense, batting 3-for-4 with two RBI and two stolen bases while John Festa went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base. Brett Ponn batted 3-for-3, Craig Anderson went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and Dylan Costa had an RBI single.

Ben Kendrew picked up the win for Lynnfield, allowing three earned runs in six innings of work and Chris Dehuelle earned the save. 

"He didn't have his best stuff," said head coach John O'Brien. "but he hung in there and kept us in the game."
