PHOTOS: Alexander Peters Memorial Softball Tournament

Annual one-pitch softball tournament raised $12,000 for local scholarships and also for Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Last weekend, many town residents turned out for the annual Alexander Peters Memorial One-Pitch Softball Tournament, held in memory of a 2005 LHS graduate who died in a drunk driving crash.

Before the tournament, Alexander's father, Nick Peters, spoke with Lynnfield Patch about his son and the fundraising event that bears his name. . This year, tournament participants raised about $12,000, providing two LHS seniors with $1,000 scholarships and also raising money for Mothers Against Drunk Driving. These photos show the various winning teams from the tournament, and the one above shows Mr. Peters with comedian Lenny Clarke, who was also at the event.
