Prowler Flees The Scene, And a Motorist is Charged With Domestic Assault

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Wednesday, July 3 and Sunday, July 7, 2013.
On Wednesday, July 3 at 9:34 a.m. a Walnut Street resident reported having a problem with some delivery workers.
At 10:53 a.m. a caller reported a possible underage driver in a blue pickup truck on Summer Street. The driver was gone on arrival.
At 4:45 p.m. a caller on Treetop Lane reported a large branch was blocking the road.
At 5:02 p.m. police searched for the operator of a Silver Hyundai thought to be involved with a shoplifting incident in Saugus.
At 6:08 p.m. a Ford Mustang was reportedly peeling out at Jordan Park. It was gone on arrival.
At 8:45 p.m. police took a report involving harassing phone calls.
At 9:14 p.m. a caller reported fireworks going off near the library.
At 9:17 p.m. an apparently intoxicated male was reportedly trying to cross the highway near Donovan’s Liquors. Police placed a 33 year old man into protective custody.
On Thursday, July 4 at 12:20 a.m. a suspicious person was reported at the Gulf Station on South Broadway. He checked out OK.
At 6:05 a.m. police took a walk-in credit card fraud report.
At 1:53 p.m. a family disturbance was reported on Chatham Lane.
At 6:50 p.m a parking complaint came in from Freeman Street.
At 8:11 p.m. Lynnfield assisted Peabody police with some utility poles that were brought down by a falling tree, resulting in a power outage in a large portion of West Peabody.
During the evening, police took at least seven fireworks related complaints from various parts of town.
On Friday, July 5 at 2:35 a.m. a caller reported something damaged his vehicle while he was driving on Main Street.
At 6:19 p.m. a Doncaster Circle resident reported some damage caused to the swimming pool by fireworks the previous night.
On Saturday, July 6 at 5:04 p.m. a worker at Sunrise Assisted Living reportedly touched a live wire and was brought to a nearby hospital.
At 9:44 p.m. and 9:50 p.m., police took fireworks complaints.
At 10:05 p.m. , a Summer Street resident reported spotting a prowler looking into his garage. The individual was described as a tall man in a dark hooded sweatshirt and he reportedly fled toward Forest Hill Ave.
On Sunday, July 7 at 2:30 p.m. police took a report involving threatening calls.
At 5:36 p.m. police took a call about the driver of a red Camaro assaulting a female passenger on Main Street. They soon arrested Joseph Clements, 19, 36 Crest Ave., Lunenberg,, and charged him with assault and battery (domestic).
At 11:12 p.m. an Edgemere Road resident reported an odor of gasoline. All appeared to be in order.
