Resident Spots Possible Break-In Attempt

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, May 3 and Sunday, May 5.
On Friday, May 3 at 6:24 a.m. a caller reported a suspicious auto on Murphy Way. It turned out to be a limo driver who had arrived early.
At 11:44 a.m. a caller on North Hill Drive reported a suspicious white van in front of a neighbor's home. It was contractors working.
At 11:46 a.m. a woman reported another car had struck hers and driven off from the Lynnfield Commons parking lot.
At 2:52 p.m., 2:31 p.m. and 2:39 p.m., police issued traffic warnings on Main Street.
At 4:08 p.m. a caller reported a young child riding a motorbike on Hutchins Circle with another child on the back. Police spoke with the parents.
At 5:07 p.m. police took a report involving a lost cell phone.
At 5:11 p.m. a caller reported three youths on a pontoon boat throwing trash into Pillings Pond. They were gone on arrival.
On Saturday, May 4 at 3:22 p.m. an erratic operator was reported on Edgemere Road.
At 4:17 p.m. the fire department responded to a report of a small fire on the side of the road on South Broadway.
At 5:55 p.m. an erratic operator was reported on Salem Street.
At 9:03 p.m., a caller reported that one of a group of youths on Highland Ave. had just urinated on a neighbor's lawn.
At 9:04 p.m. a caller reported hearing gunshots near Chatham Way.
At 9:50 p.m. a caller on Lowell Street reported hearing gun shots.
At 6:18 p.m. a man on Pine Street reported that he had seen two male teens walk onto a neighbor's back porch and then ran away when confronted. They were gone on arrival.
On Sunday, May 5 at 9:03 a.m., state police responded to an accident on Route 1 South near Peabody. Two were taken to a nearby hospital.
At 11:29 a.m., a Locksley Road resident reported two suspicious men had come to the door asking about replacing windows.
At 1:02 p.m. a one-car accident was reported on Salem Street.
At 1:26 p.m. an erratic operator was reported on Main Street.
At 5:55 p.m. police issued a speeding warning near Sagamore Spring Golf Course.
At 10:08 p.m. Lynnfield and Wakefield Police responded to a report of a possible domestic incident in a car on Salem Street. The dispute was verbal in nature.
