Sagamore Spring's 7th The Trickiest On the Course
This is a look at holes on Lynnfield golf courses that are intriguing, interesting or fun to play.

Hole: 7th
Course:
Location: Lynnfield
Par: 4
Yards: 356 (blue), 336 (white tees); 242 (red)
Looking out into the fairway on the 7th hole at Sagamore Spring Golf Club gives you the feeling that making par 4 doesn’t seem all that impossible.
But after your tee shot either ends up in the trees on the left – if you try a direct route to the hole – or in the rough on the right due to the slope of the fairway you will soon realize it is not as it looks.

The problem with the 336-yard hole (from the white tees) is it is a slight dogleg left but the fairway tilts to the right, so no matter what, you are looking at a second shot that likely won’t be from the middle of the fairway.
If you don’t find yourself clear of trees, branches or longer grass this hole will challenge you even more. About 225 yards from the tee, on the left, there are three bunkers. If a 75-yard shot from a fairway bunker to the hole is not formidable enough, a tree blocks 75% of the green so landing on the putting surface is near impossible.

“It’s a difficult hole if you miss left,” said Lynn resident Jeremy Tranfaglia. “If you get a good tee shot in the fairway you have a good look at the green, if not, it is tough.”
For those who are lucky enough to have a second shot from the fairway will see a small grass mound and sand trap between them and the green.
The green is the one forgiving part of the hole as it is a good size with few humps and slopes.
