St. Maria Goretti Hosted Annual Lenten Supper
Deacon Ed Elibero and third-grade Faith Formation students led the congregation in a children's version of the Stations of the Cross.
St. Maria Goretti hosted its annual Lenten supper March 16, followed by a children's Stations of the Cross, a meaningful way to engage parishioners of all ages in the Lenten journey.
After a potluck dinner of Lent-friendly meatless dishes were enjoyed by all in attendance, Deacon Ed Elibero and third-grade Faith Formation students led the congregation in a children's version of the Stations of the Cross.
All the Grade 3 Faith Formation students worked hard creating posters that reflect the 14 devotions of the Way of the Cross, and they were displayed beneath the church's wooden Stations. The Stations of the Cross are used as a mini pilgrimage, encouraging the faithful to recall, meditate, and pray on specific events from Jesus Christ's last day before His resurrection.
