First of four summer dates is May 22.

A release from MarketStreet in Lynnfield:
LYNNFIELD, MA – A dog topiary. Pup friendly ice cream. A beer garden.
MarketStreet Lynnfield announces the return of its much-loved Yappy Hour event series and this year it will make tails all over Massachusetts wag. The four-part celebration honors the North Shore’s furriest residents and is now in its fourth year. Making this year all the more meaningful, MarketStreet Lynnfield will newly partner with local non-profit Great Dog Rescue to raise money for dogs in need and has the goal of providing 1,000 meals for hungry pups by the end of summer.

“Our four-legged friends are such an important and fun part of our community here at MarketStreet Lynnfield. We couldn’t be more pleased to bring Yappy Hour back for another season. Each year we look forward to hosting hundreds of wagging tails and smiling faces, and this year we are so honored to spread awareness and help Great Dog Rescue feed and care for dogs in need,” says Charlotte Woods, Marketing Director of MarketStreet Lynnfield.
At each Yappy Hour MarketStreet Lynnfield will transform its community gathering space, The Green, into a doggy oasis. In a fun new play on MarketStreet Lynnfield’s love for all things canine, this year’s Yappy Hour will culminate in August with a dog topiary standing tall on The Green. The topiary will be modeled after one furry and lucky MarketStreet Lynnfield regular who is submitted into MarketStreet Lynnfield’s social media contest; the Instagram polls open at the first Yappy Hour on May 22nd and will run through June 26th. The topiary will be unveiled at the final Yappy Hour, August 28th.
A beer garden from Salem’s Notch Brewing will complete the atmosphere – look for picnic tables and Notch’s Tap Truck, or Mobile Biergarten, pouring a selection of the North Shore brewery’s tasty session brews on The Green.
Visitors will also find dog-friendly vendors, giveaways and J.P. Licks’ pup friendly ice cream. Locally-owned pet accessory and gourmet treat purveyor PolkaDog Bakery will be on hand to help host and raise funds for Great Dog Rescue; a portion of select treat sales will benefit the organization.
Furthering the event’s ability to help dogs in need, Molly Wogan, a Middleton middle school student, and her P.A.W.S. Project (Precious Animals, Wonderful Shelters) will have a presence at each Yappy Hour. Wogan’s efforts have raised tens of thousands of dollars and led her to be awarded with the “Class Act Award” by WHDH-TV.
Complementing Yappy Hour offerings, guests can enjoy MarketStreet Lynnfield’s plethora of dog-friendly shops, including lululemon, Apple, Pink Parkway, FatFace, Amazon Books, Bluemercury and Athleta. For a bite to eat, the patios at Starbucks, Panera Bread, Boloco, Capital One Café, Kings and California Pizza Kitchen all welcome dogs.
