$2,000 Donation for City's New Teen Center
David DeMaria Foundation, named in the memory of Malden School Committee member Debbie DeMaria's late son, donated the check this week.

Malden School Committee member Debbie DeMaria presented a $2,000 check to the Malden Teen Enrichment Center on behalf of the David DeMaria Foundation, a non-profit organization named for her late son, David.
David graduated from Malden Catholic High School in 2003, was a 2007 graduate of Suffolk University and made a lasting impact on the community, his friends and family.
The mission of the David DeMaria Foundation is to assist the youth of Malden and the surrounding areas with funding for educational and athletic needs. In the last five years, the Foundation has raised over $46,000 most of which has benefitted the Malden community.

“I am so proud that Malden has moved forward with the Teen Center,” said Debbie DeMaria. “I know David would have wanted to be part of this and we are so happy to present this gift to the Malden Teen Enrichment Center in his honor.”
“I’m very grateful for the David DeMaria Foundation’s generous donation in David’s memory,” said Mayor Christenson.
