2 Men Sought In Connection With Oak Grove MBTA Assault

MALDEN, MA — The MBTA Transit Police Department is looking to identify two men it believes were involved in an assault that took place at the Oak Grove Orange Line station earlier this month.

The pair was captured on surveillance footage on Saturday, Aug. 8, the day of the reported incident. According to police, the assault took place at around 1:20 a.m. The two men are accused of kicking and stomping the victim.

Transit Police are investigating the incident as assault and battery with a dangerous weapon involving a shod foot, which refers to footwear being used as a weapon during an assault.

Community members who recognize either man or have relevant information are being asked to contact the MBTA Transit Police Criminal Investigations Unit at 617-222-1050. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

The victim's condition has not been revealed.
