The festival will feature live music, traditional dance performances, food, art, family-friendly activities, local vendors, and tables from nonprofit organizations. Primera Clase will provide live music during the celebration.

The event will also include "El Mercadito," a marketplace providing space for entrepreneurs, artisans, small businesses, and community organizations. Organizers are currently accepting applications from vendors and organizations interested in participating.

The North Shore Hispanic Association, a nonprofit founded in May 2016, organizes the festival and works to promote cultural awareness, educational activities, and community involvement within the region's Hispanic community. The organization is marking its 10th anniversary this year and lists the Hispanic Heritage Festival among its annual events.

Saturday's celebration comes during National Hispanic Heritage Month, which is observed annually from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.

The festival is also supported through the City of Malden's Community Connections Grant Program, which provides funding for community events and initiatives throughout the city.
