Malden Power Outage Affects Hundreds

MALDEN, MA — Hundreds of National Grid customers were without power in Malden Monday afternoon, according to the company's outage map.

A total of 493 customers are affected as of approximately 1 p.m. The outage began at approximately 12:11 p.m. and impacted portions of Washington Street, Main Street, Mountain Avenue, Linden Avenue, Clement Street, Everett Street, Summer Street, Florence Street, Bickford Road, and Maude Street, according to Malden City Hall.

Additional streets in the surrounding area were also affected.

The cause of the outage has not yet been revealed.
