Annual Malden Public Library Food Drive

Take the opportunity to give back this season. Maldonians can help neighbors in need by contributing to the Malden Public Library’s food drive to benefit the local Salvation Army food pantry. Join the Library’s annual tradition of making this time of year special for those who might otherwise not be able to celebrate.

Canned goods and other non-perishables are needed. These items will be gladly accepted:

stuffing

dry gravy

mashed potatoes

canned tuna, chicken or other canned meats

apple sauce

cranberry sauce

peanut butter

Ethnic foods are welcomed; staples, such as rice or beans, are always good additions to the pantry.

The collection container will be out on the main floor opposite the circulation desk.

If you haven’t been to the Library before, this is a chance to come by and see what the Library has to offer. We are always happy to introduce newcomers to audio and ebooks, exhibits, film programs, writing and book discussion groups, the world languages collection, and much more.
