Malden soccer teams go to regional tournament

Congratulations to all Malden Youth Soccer players on another successful season! We hope that all of our players, whether their teams won or lost, got better at playing soccer, worked well with their teammates, and had a lot of fun.

Malden has several teams that will play in the Middlesex Youth Soccer League's Commissioner's Cup tournament this weekend. Come cheer them on! The tournament is held at the Joyce Middle School in Woburn. The schedule is available on the MYSL web site.

• Boys U18, coached by Foster Morales and Jorge Gonzales

The Division 1 and 2 teams (Boys U12-1, Boys U14-1, Girls U14-1, and Boys U18) are vying for spots in the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions, which will be held next weekend.

Registration fee: $85

Travel U10-U14: ages 8-13
Birth dates 8/1/1999 - 12/31/2005*
Registration fee: $95
Late fee after June 30: $110**

The season for both U6/U9 and U10- U14 starts September 7. Co-ed U6 and U9 teams play once a week on a weekend day in Malden. Travel teams practice twice a week, with one home or away game on Saturdays. *Players born in 2005 have the choice of playing Intown or Travel, and may have trouble registering online; email info@maldenyouthsoccer.org for help.

Please remember: MYS registration is limited by the field space the City of Malden allotts to soccer.
**In addition, space on travel teams is limited by the number of registrations received by the end of June.
