Everett Crash: 2 Dead When Trash Truck, Pickup Truck Collide
A crash involving a city-owned trash truck has shut a section of Broadway down for hours.
EVERETT, MA — Two are dead after a crash on Broadway involving a city-owned trash truck and a pickup truck. The crash has Broadway closed "for an extended period" between Cameron and Kenwood Streets, Everett Police said.
A man and a woman, both passengers of the pickup truck, were pronounced dead at the hospital, the Middlesex DA's Office said. They have yet to be identified.
The driver of the pickup truck suffered serious injuries, and the driver of the trash truck suffered non-life-threatning injuries.

The crash occurred around 8:39 a.m. around Dunster Street, close to the Malden line.
The crash is being investigated. No criminal charges have been filed.
