Come enjoy a traditional New England Community Contradance (a.k.a. Barn Dance) from 2:00-5:00 PM at Hugo’s Appliance on Main St., Melrose MA, with easy dances for all ages and abilities. From simple squares and circles to longways sets like the Virginia Reel and couples dances like the polka or waltz, there is something for everyone, and each of the dances is taught and prompted by the caller. The band, Tourner a Trois, plays a mix of New England, Irish, French Canadian, and Scandinavian tunes; the music alone will make you want to dance!
