Mayor Gary Christenson recently proclaimed the month of April 2021 as Arab American Heritage Month in Malden in honor of the valuable impact Arab Americans have made to virtually every aspect of American society. From contributions to medicine, law, business, education, technology, government, military service, and culture to their resilient family values, strong work ethic, dedication to education, and diversity in faith, they continue to add strength to our great democracy. Mayor Christenson presented the proclamation to Faten Shelbayeh, Arab American Foundation New England Team Member who is also a Malden resident.
