Collecting #900StoriesOfHope this Summer

Acholi Quarter, Uganda

Project Have Hope, a nonprofit organization working to empower women living in the Acholi Quarter to achieve economic independence, is sponsoring a social media campaign that will spread hope around the world. More than #900StoriesOfHope will be curated and shared on social media and the projecthavehope.org website. The public is invited to add their #IHaveHope story to #900StoriesOfHope as of July 11 thru September 15, 2017.

For more than eleven years, Project Have Hope has leveraged the capacity of hope to create positive change in Uganda’s Acholi Quarter, by creating business and educational opportunities for those displaced by Uganda’s Civil War. With a desire to share the resilience of this community and demonstrate the power of hope, Karen Sparacio, Founding Director of Project Have Hope, wants to collect at least #900StoriesOfHope from around the world by September 15, 2017. Through social media and the invitation to add an #IHaveHope story with a picture or video to the #900StoriesOfHope collection, Sparacio hopes to remind the world of the universal power of hope to bring people together and affect positive change individually and collectively.

Instructions to participate are:

• Share why you have hope
• Post to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtags #900StoriesOfHope and #IHaveHope and tag @projecthavehope
