Book Discussion How are computers and internet changing our lives?

The emerging digital society is changing our lives, our thinking, behavior, social interactions, how we conduct business, the economy, and educational systems. The local author of the book “Knowledge Capital in the Digital Society”, C. Peter Waegemann, will explore with us what all these changes mean.

Discuss the revolutionary changes to the world and possible effects on everyone’s life.  “The smart kid of the past was good at memorizing. The smart kid of the future is good at navigating information and establishing context.” What does this mean to our educational system?

Waegemann argues that knowledge is an important part of a person and must be managed like other capital.  “You are what you know, - but do you know what you know?”
