Malden Mayoral Candidate Gary Christenson will hold another online forum on Friday night (November 4th, at 9:00 p.m.) on his website, to utilize technology to interact with Malden residents.
Residents only need to have access to the internet to visit www.christensonformayor.com to take part. Also available on the website are the archives of the previous forums as well as an e-mail reminder sign-up so as to be alerted when the Friday night’s is about to begin.
“We learned last week that 9:00PM is a great time for people to join us as we had a record number of viewers and questions submitted,” Christenson said. “Through this interaction, we continue to hear about people’s concerns about the city and what issues they want their government to address.”

Christenson noted taking advantage of technology like the online forum would be an efficient way to promote communication between city government and residents, as well as the city hall’s transparency.
“Citizens should have questions for their government, and government should be accessible and forthcoming,” said Christenson. “And using an online forum allows people to participate during their lunch hour at work, or, like this week, from the comfort of their own homes.”

Christenson said he will continue this kind of citizen engagement if he is elected to the mayoralty.
