First-Time Homebuyer Class (English & Mandarin)

ACDC's Comprehensive Housing Opportunities Program (CHOP) offers a variety of assistance for renters, homebuyers, and homeowners to help secure and stabilize safe, high quality, affordable housing.  Through education and advocacy, CHOP helps build  healthy homes and communities.

First Time Homebuyer Class

ACDC is a HUD-approved housing counseling agency. Our homebuyer education and counseling services meet the criteria established by the Massachusetts Homeownership Collaborative. ACDC's HB101 is CHAPA certified.

 Topics covered in the class include:

- Shopping for a home to meet your needs

- Building credit

- Budgeting and managing debt

- Introduction to the mortgage process

- Home inspection process

- Home insurance

- Legal process of buying a home

* HB101 is a 9 hour class over the course of two days.  Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion which qualifies them for first time homebuyer programs in Massachusetts
