Join us for Movie Night at the Malden Public Library on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 6:00pm for part of our Adult Summer Reading Program. We will be showing the winner of five Academy Awards, including Best Picture of the Year for 2011. This film is a charming and delightful homage to the silent film era of Hollywood. It stars Jean Dujardin as George Valentin, a fictional character who is the undisputed best actor in the silent films…until Peppy Miller (Bérénice Bejo) arrives on the scene, bringing with her a new era of “talking pictures.” This movie also won a Special Award from the American Film Institute, and was voted the “Best Film” of 2011 by the Boston Society of Film Critics.
This film is the third in our series of three films for our Summer Reading theme of "Master The Art of Reading." Enter to win fun prizes. Adults registered in the Summer Reading program will be eligible to receive a raffle ticket to enter to win a Kindle Fire e-book reader or a gift card to Barnes & Noble bookstore. Please call the Malden Public Library at 781-324-0218 for more information. Free popcorn and refreshments will be provided. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 6:00-8:30pm. This event is free and open to the public and handicapped accessible.
