The Malden High School Crew Team will be hosting a "sprint" rowing regatta on the Malden River on Sunday, May 22nd from 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Nine teams will compete in the annual "Moose on the Malden" Regatta. Local crews from Malden High School, Somerville High School, Medford High School, and Cambridge Rindge & Latin will compete against teams from Maine (Yarmouth & Waynflete), Milton, Holyoke, and Wesford.
The crews will launch from the Malden Rowing Center run by the Gentle Giant Rowing Club at 356 Commercial St, Malden, MA 02148 - located behind the Malden DPW.
The 1500 meter course begins roughly at the Route 16 Bridge in Medford, continues past the new Rivers Edge Complex and the Tufts Boathouse, and finishes about 100 meters prior to the Medford Street Bridge in Malden.
