This is a MassBike Spins Ride.
Meet on in North Station for a ride to celebrate Nation Train Day 2011. We will take the 10:15 train to Beverly Farms, and follow portions of the old Eastern Railroad back through Danvers and Saugus, ending at the old Boston & Maine stations in Malden and Medford. Along the way, we will stop to look at a number of historic railroad stations and talk about the competition between the Eastern and the B & M in the years just before and after the Civil War.
