Let’s work together and get a jump-start on Ward 5 spring cleaning. On Saturday, May 5th the Malden DPW will be coming to Ward 5 for a specially scheduled sidewalk cleaning and street-sweeping project. In order to have the greatest impact, it is going to take community involvement...your involvement!!! Here’s how you can help:

• Remove weeds from crevices in sidewalks and surrounding areas.

• Become a Street/Neighborhood Captain to make sure all goes smoothly in your area.

• Lend a hand to an elderly or disabled neighbor.

Please Note: there will NOT be yard or waste pick-up on this day. Street sweepers are not equipped to pick up yardwaste, so, please do not put leaves and grass clipping on the street as it will likely clog the sweeper and ruin the day. Beginning at 9:00 , three teams of sweepers will work simultaneously throughout Ward 5 following pre-determined routes.  If you do not have a flyer you can find the information on the City of Malden Website www.cityofmalden.org or call me at 781-910-8088.
