Event Spotlight: 6th Annual Halloween Fun Run/Walk

The sixth Annual Halloween fun run/walk will be held on Oct. 30th at 10:00am- sponsored by People’s United Bank (formerly Danversbank), Dockside Restaurant & Bar and the Malden YMCA.  

Registration begins at 8:30am the day of the race at the Oak Grove Community Building.  You can also register online at www.active.com or at the Malden YMCA.

The event starts and ends at the Oak Grove Community Building, which is at 6 Grove Street in Malden, and loops around the Wyoming and Forestdale cemeteries for the perfect Halloween course.

Make this your incentive to get healthy in the spirit of Halloween by coming in costume!  There are awards for all categories, and, to encourage running in costume, there will be a prize for best costume.

Starting at 9:00am the Wah Lum Kung Fu & Tai Chi Academy will be demonstrating stretching and will lead the race with a crowd pumping performance!

Back again are WROR, and Hallmark Health to provide music, healthy snacks, water, and lots of give-a-ways! Free t-shirts to the first 100 registered participants.  Sign up soon to be sure to get a t-shirt.

Don’t want the fun to end?  Come join us for a post race buffet donated by the Dockside Restaurant.
