Everett Police Investigating 9-Month-Old's Death: Report

EVERETT, MA — Everett Police are investigating the death of a 9-month-old who was having difficulty breathing at a caregiver's home, Boston 25 News reports.

The infant girl was at an Everett home the day after Thanksgiving; the caregiver said the baby was gasping for air when she went to check on her, the report said. The baby died four days later at Boston Children's Hospital, according to the report.

Sources told Boston 25 Investigates the baby had trauma-related injuries. The Middlesex County District Attorney's office is also investigating the baby's death, according to Boston 25.

The TV station also found the caregiver is not licensed to operate day care at her home.
