Everett Police Officer Facing Domestic Violence Charges

The officer, an 8 1/2-year veteran of the Everett Police Department, has been placed on paid administrative leave.

EVERETT, MA — An off-duty Everett police officer was arrested Sunday on domestic violence charges. Officer Dino D'Andrea, an 8 1/2-year veteran of the Everett Police Department, was charged with domestic assault and battery and intimidation of a witness.

D'Andrea pleaded not guilty to both charges at his arraignment Monday, the Boston Globe reported. He was released on personal recognizance.

D'Andrea has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. Information about the incident leading to his arrest was not made public.
