Fatal Shooting Under Investigation In Everett

EVERETT, MA — An Everett man was shot and killed early Saturday morning after leaving a lounge. The DA's office and the Everett police are investigating the incident.

Police received a call at 1 a.m. on Saturday about a fight on Ferry Street. The victim, a 47-year-old Everett man, had left a nearby lounge with a woman and the pair got into a fight with several other people, the DA's office said.

The man was shot and helped by good samaritans at the scene — he was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The shooing is under investigation.
