Pedestrian Hit By Car On Fellsway
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.

MALDEN, MA — A pedestrian was hit by a car on Fellsway East in Malden Thursday morning, state police said. The person was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Fellsway East has been reopened after being closed for hours near Savin Street.
The victim was reportedly in the crosswalk when struck.

A gray sedan was with passenger side windshield damage was parked on the side of the road. It was unclear if the driver was taken into custody.

The crosswalk is a short way from one of the more complicated rotary/intersections around. Cars can pick up speed coming up and down the Fellsway.

Brian DeLacey, who lives in the area, said he has complained about crosswalk before and thinks it should be erased.
"At a minimum if you just get rid of this ... people are not going to be enticed to cross here," DeLacey told Patch. "It's a perilous crossing."
