Former Malden Assistant Superintendent John DiGiammarino Dies
DiGiammarino served as assistant superintendent, assistant high school principal, coach and teacher in his long career with Malden public schools.
John DiGiammarino, former Malden Assistant superintendent, High School assistant principal, coach and teacher, has passed away. Malden High School principal Dana Brown announced DiGiammarino’s death in an email to staff on Monday morning.
The 76-year-old DiGiammarino passed away on Sunday in Jupiter, FL, according to Spadafora Funeral Home. He served Malden's schools in various capacities for 44 years.
Aside from his years of service to Malden Public Schools, DiGiammarino was also principal at Saugus High School for five years.

The wake has been scheduled for Sunday, May 1, 3–7 p.m. at Spadafora Funeral Home. The funeral will take place at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday at 9 a.m.. After the ceremony, DiGiammarino will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
