Fraudster Flees Cops, Crashes In Malden: Police
A man who tried cashing fraudulent checks was arrested on Prospect Street Wednesday, police said.

MALDEN, MA — A man who tried cashing fraudulent checks was arrested after trying to flee police Wednesday, Malden police said. Police were alerted to the attempt around 1:15 p.m. and followed a vehicle leaving the area.
The driver, 34-year-old Aaron Curry, of Mattapan, tried fleeing the scene, police said. He was taken into custody after crashing onto a lawn on Prospect Street.
"We were fortunate that no one was injured as a result of someone's poor decisions," Malden police said in a statement.
