#HaleyStrong: Malden Teen Gets Celebrated Today

Haley Ledbury, 15, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. The community has stepped up in support.

The Malden community is doing its part in making a Happy Holiday for one brave teen and her family.

Haley Ledbury, 15, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer known as Ewing Sarcoma. Her mother, Olga, had to give up her job to care for Haley and her little brother, Chaddie, who is autistic.

This Wednesday afternoon the Cops for Kids with Cancer will be presenting Haley's family with a check to help with medical bills. The kindness is being extended by Malden Police, who will pick up Haley and her family from their Lebanon Street home and drive them to the station with a police escort. Officers will welcome Haley at the new police headquarters on Eastern Ave.
