India Spice-n-Hot and Indian Bazaar To Open in Old Converse Restaurant

It's official –  and the adjacent  will be moving from it's 517-519 Main St. location to the now closed storefront just down the street at 430 Main St., along with some additions for old-school fans.

Owner Rajinder Punj said the new business – renamed “India Spice-n-Hot and Indian Bazaar” - will offer the traditional menu with some new surprises, combined with a grocery store selling Indian wares. 

“God willing, everything will be open (before) the end of the year,” Punj said.

Punj and his family are already working to renovate the interior of the restaurant. which will include some seating for dining in.

“We feel more comfortable here,” he said.

Unfortunately, the popular restaurant will be closed until it's new location opens.

A member of the Punj family answering the phone at their old location said she believed a Chinese restaurant would open in their original storefront, but could not confirm.
