MA Woman Wins $4 Million In State Lottery Game

REVERE, CT — A Massachusetts woman won $4 million playing a state lottery game. Merari Gutierrez Garcia of Revere won playing the “Emeralds 50X” instant ticket game.

Gutierrez Garcia chose the annuity option on her prize and received the first of 20 annual payments of $200,000, according to MA Lottery.

She plans on putting her winnings toward the purchase of a house.

Gutierrez Garcia purchased the lucky ticket at Everett Sunoco located at 1707 Revere Beach Parkway. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

There is currently one remaining top prize of $4 million left in the Emeralds 50X game, according to MA Lottery. The odds of landing that top prize are about 1 in 5.4 million.
