Malden-based Florist Celebrates A Century

MALDEN, MA — A longtime business is celebrating a century of serving customers.
Mayor Gary Christenson and Ward 8 City Councilor Jadeane Sica recently recognized O'Brien's Florist & Greenhouses for its 100th anniversary. The family-owned business, located at 266 Lynn St., was founded in 1926 and has remained in the same family for four generations.
According to the city, O'Brien's has been operated by multiple generations of the same family while specializing in fresh flowers for all occasions. The business offers floral arrangements for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, proms and other events, along with plants, orchids, gift baskets and other gifts.

O'Brien's provides local flower delivery throughout Malden and neighboring communities including Medford, Melrose, Everett, Chelsea, Revere, Lynn, Lynnfield, Stoneham, Wakefield and Boston. Customers can also place orders online for same-day and next-day delivery on many arrangements.
The company says it has built its reputation on providing fresh flowers, custom arrangements and personalized customer service. Its greenhouse and floral shop have remained fixtures on Lynn Street while serving generations of residents celebrating milestones and commemorating loved ones.

"O'Brien's Florist and Greenhouses has been serving customers by specializing in fresh flowers for all occasions," the city said in announcing the recognition. "Impressively, O'Brien's has been run by multiple generations of the same family offering affordable arrangements and family-friendly service for a century."
