Malden Catholic Ready for Another Upset
The Malden Catholic boys soccer team will face Wilmington tomorrow.
After a huge in the preliminary round of the Div. 2 North Sectional on Saturday, the 21st-seeded Malden Catholic boys soccer team will face an even more daunting task tonight: Upsetting fifth-seeded Wilmington on the road.
Heading into Saturday's game, Tewksbury was giving up just 1.3 goals per game over the course of the season. So it came as a bit of a shock that the Lancers (8-8-2) were able to put up four points against Tewksbury behind the impressive play of Nick Annese, Andrew Wollfield and Mike DePaolo.
But while Saturday's performance may have put a charge in in the Malden Catholic team, scoring four goals against the Wildcats today will take not only skill, but some serious luck as well.

The game was originally scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight at Wilmington, but with the forecast calling for steady rain and strong winds all day, officials have postponed the match until tomorrow.

The . The Eagles grabbed the 12th seed in the Div. 3 North Sectional after finishing the regular season 7-6-2, but fifth-seeded Matignon (13-6-1) proved to be too much to handle for Mystic Valley as Matignon won, 4-0, to advance to the quarterfinals.
