The Malden Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will be awarding three scholarships to Malden- based students in May as part of its annual Chamber Scholarship Program for the 2nd year in a row.
Each of the three Malden High Schools including Malden High, Malden Catholic and Mystic Valley Regional Charter, as well as chamber member Pope John XXIII High School in Everett, have been asked to submit their top candidate for this year’s scholarship program.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors has formed a special committee to review all applications and will select 3 scholarship recipients to be awarded $500 each. The scholarship is funded throughout the year via 50/50 raffles held at many of the Chamber’s larger events.
“The Chamber of Commerce is not only here to support our existing businesses, but to encourage and foster our future business leaders as well. We hope that this scholarship can help support a few of our high school seniors as they transition into the next phase of their education.” Said Paul Murphy, Chamber President.
