Malden Coffee Giant Celebrates 100 Years in Business

New England Coffee, headquartered in Malden, reached a milestone Wednesday.

MALDEN, MA – The Kaloyanides family celebrated 100 years of its area java giant, New England Coffee, Wednesday in Malden.

Steve Kaloyanides was joined by Malden Mayor Gary Christensen to cut the cake for the company's 100th birthday.

New England Coffee, headquartered in Malden, originated in Boston in 1916. The brainchild of the Kaloyanides brothers, Menelaos and George, and their cousin, Megaklis Papadopoulos, New England Tea & Coffee Company began as a delivery service to restaurants around Boston.

Over the course of a century, the Kaloyanides family and their team have built New England Coffee into one of the most recognized area brands.
