Malden Gas Station ($1.97) Has Cheapest Gas in Mass.

You read that correctly—gas has dropped below $2 a gallon all over Massachusetts.

Malden’s King Petroleum on Friday morning had the cheapest gas in the state at $1.97, according to GasBuddy.

Massachusetts gas prices this week hit an average of $2.36—down 11 cents from last week and about a dollar from a year ago, according to AAA Southern New England. The national average is currently about $2.20.

Prices will likely continue to fall through June, Bloomberg reported.

Here are several local gas stations that were selling gas for below $2 Friday, according to GasBuddy:

• $1.97: King Petroleum, Malden
• $1.99: Southbridge Gas, Southbridge
• $1.99: Costco, Dedham
• $1.99: Gas Depot, Brockton
• $1.99: US Petro, Roslindale
