MALDEN, MA Boston Yogurt Malden hosted Girl Scout Troop 71139 on Saturday January 11, 2014 to help them work on badge requirements for the Healthy Living Badge as well as requirements for badges pertaining to Entrepreneurship. Since Boston Yogurt has been approved for “Healthy Dining” as a part of Mass in Motion and is a newly opened business, the Girl Scouts thought Boston Yogurt would be a great place to work on their badges.
Michelle Doucette, Marketing and Events Coordinator for Boston Yogurt, coordinated the meeting and educated the troop about the healthy aspects of Boston Yogurt’s frozen yogurt along with the steps on how to create a business. “It was truly an honor to help out the Girl Scouts. As a former Girl Scout myself, I know the importance of completing a badge and was more than happy to help. Boston Yogurt is a great healthy dessert option for people of all ages. We’re a new company and we wanted to share with the girls the important steps needed to start a business.”
As a member of Mass in Motion, Boston Yogurt is eager to share their health benefits with the community. Boston Yogurt looks forward to their future work with Troop 71139 and is excited to work with other groups in the community.
