FoFH-BAC to Present Former Malden Hospital Survey Results and Community-Based Redevelopment Options on Wednesday Oct. 2, 2019
A partnership with Boston Architectural College’s (BAC) Gateway Initiative Program was initiated by the Friends of Fellsmere Heights (FoFH) in September 2018 to assist the Malden City Council and Medford City Council ad hoc hospital review committees with community-based, rather than developer-driven, redevelopment options for the former Malden Hospital. In addition to a November 2018 BAC public meeting, an online survey was conducted from December 30, 2018 to June 2, 2019 to solicit input regarding community-based redevelopment options and to consider community priorities for the abandoned hospital property. The survey results as well as the resulting BAC options will be presented to the public from 6 - 7:30 pm at the Beebe School Auditorium at 401 Pleasant Street in Malden on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019.
