Malden Public Schools Canceled Tuesday, Trash On Holiday Schedule
No word yet on Malden Catholic or MVRCS closings

From the mayor:
Mayor Christenson and Malden’s Emergency Management Team have been working hard all day dealing with the fallout of Hurricane Sandy. Malden has escaped serious damage thanks in large part to the efforts of Malden Public Safety Officials, the Department of Public Works and other City Departments who have worked tirelessly throughout the storm.
The Mayor and the Emergency Management Team have determined the following based on recent storm reports:

- · Malden Public Schools will be CLOSED on Tuesday, October 30th.
- · There will be trash/recycling pickup tomorrow, Tuesday, October 30th on a holiday week schedule. Monday’s trash will be picked up tomorrow, Tuesday’s on Wednesday, etc. We encourage you to please put out your trash out tomorrow morning, not tonight.
- · City Hall, Malden Public Library and the Senior Center will be open on Tuesday, October 30th.
- · The Forestdale Cemetery will be closed Tuesday, October 30th.
