Malden Resident Beginning Army Training Gets Will Wishes

The following is from the City of Malden:

Mayor Gary Christenson recently attended a celebration for Malden resident Anthony Schultz as his family and friends wished him farewell as he will soon begin his training with the United States Army. Anthony will be departing for Basic Combat Training at the end of the month for a 10 week program at Fort Benning, Georgia. Upon completion, he will train for an additional 15 weeks for Advanced Individual Training. He is enlisting for 19 Kilo, the Military Occupational Specialty for the U.S. Army’s M1 Armor Crewman, the tank and armor unit.

“Anthony’s willingness to build his career around defending and protecting our freedom is a true inspiration,” said Mayor Christenson.
